Broken Media from Array by Max Kutner

This was sort of inspired by an interview of Joe Walsh that I took in the night before where he discussed the impact of social media and networking sites and technology on releasing and producing music. He had also discussed how he recorded the guitar of "Funk 49" using only a Telecaster running directly into a 5-watt champ which inspired me to see what I could with just my guitar/amp.

The sentiment in the lyrics reveal more than a bit about my socio-political personality and I felt sort of a dry delivery a la Lou Reed or Chrissy Hynde was appropriate for carrying that across.

The veneer is not the same thing as the thing.
These people would have you think that it was.
They overwhelm with options so you can choose
Some representation of a thing that once was.
Virtual reality is not virtuous at all.
It's not reality and that's a fact.
My friends, stay the course. Refuse to be defeated
Or broken media will emerge intact.

I used my 2015 Tadic electric guitar and played directly into the dirty channel of my Fender Deluxe amp. This was recorded first and then I laid down vocals over the guitar.
