Midtown by #MAR2 (COACH PARSELLS & MDOTCOOP)

Today marks the birth of both Coach Parsells & myself (MdotCoop). It also, marks the release of our 4th annual birthday project. (Can you believe we've been at it for 4 years now?) We were brainstorming about a month ago about what it was we wanted to do for our 2014 release. After some thought we realized it was only fitting to pay tribute to an entity that was instrumental in our careers as artists and at the epicenter of both our upbringings in the city of Rochester, NY, Midtown Plaza. The 'Midtown' EP was born.

It was our goal to paint a picture of what the Rochester landmark Midtown Plaza was like during it's hay day. Not only was Midtown plaza the place where you'd shop for the latest gear, sneakers & nugget gold, but a center for creativity. Artists from all over city would meet up there to freestyle and match wits with other artists. Midtown was where Coach & I met and honed our skills as rap artists. This is an ode to Midtown Plaza. The Ep features production by Coach Parsells and words by myself (MdotCoop). We invite you to celebrate another birth year with us and pay homage to "Midtown."
