Setting Sun by Metrik

Metrik's fourth studio album is on the horizon – a bold new chapter in drum & bass. London-based producer, vocalist and DJ, Metrik returns in 2025 with 'Awake', a 12-track odyssey that pushes drum & bass into uncharted territory. Five years in the making, the album marks his most ambitious and personal work to date – a fusion of ferocious energy, immersive world-building and raw emotion.

Following the release of ‘Hole’ alongside Rou Reynolds & Filthy Pig, Metrik returns with ‘Setting Sun’ – channeling the cyber-aesthetic of the early 2000s with arpeggiators, vocal manipulation and soaring synths.
Fuelled by his own songwriting, vocals and multi-instrumental performances, it captures both vulnerability and scale – equally at home in headphones or on the main stage.

At a young age Metrik was pulled into D&B’s magnetism, drawn in by its clinical precision and emotive compositions. Within this world he discovered a deep resonance with the pairing of man and machine. That resonance gave him an unshakeable conviction and set the course for the rest of his life, taking him from producing music in his bedroom to performing on the world’s biggest festival stages.
