Lyrics
I suppose I took the bad road 'cuz it was paved with the Bible. Where gettin stoned is sacred and truth lies beyond acreages of hard sermon sunlight and lucifer dawns.
Heaven knows or else its hell that's knowin why I tip-toed 'tween the lines of the scriptures. Call it survival or maybe it's just hell that's showin that there's a devil in the heart of every rebel with a heart.
Don't wade to deep in the waters of parables, the answers lie so low the light aint welcome baby just like you. Risk not and want not, some searchers are way worse than long shots, but long shots that aint tossed can't go through.
I suppose I took that bad old road 'cuz I was born with the gumption to trust in me and let those cards fall where they be, might be a devil's red flush one day, or else it's God you gotta pay.
