They find it funny
when I’m being real
and I find it tragic
They're refusin' to feel

The weight of our actions
becomes the weight of our pain
and we’re both left standing
All alone in the rain

We’re both left broken
With nothing to gain

Outside it’s spring time
And the world is ablaze
insects are screaming
And the birds are all crazed

The wildflowers i planted
Are bursting in bloom
And i’ve found a new way
To defeat my DOOM

Right now I’m grateful
To have loved and then lost
Someday we’ll look back (and smile)
At the rivers we crossed
