No Use from Œ by New Polarities

A man from the last millennium walks into a bar in the present day… What sounds like the beginning of a bad joke turns out to be truer than expected in this latest release from New Polarities. With the title ‘No Use’ the song and accompanying videoclip tell just that tragically ironic story.
Tragic in so much as the character from a generation that is steeped in sexism and chauvinism has a hard time being welcomed by its possibly more enlightened progeny. At the same time the underlying irony comes from the ever growing and present threat of that younger generation debating over factual reality with opinion laden values. Opinions which are making facts just as much a relic of the past as the geezer in the bar, lighting his cigarette in a non-smoking area and grotesquely hitting on women half his age.
For both facts as well as over-privileged white men, it seems, there is no use no more.
