any longer

you fell apart
in my arms
as i watched
made a new

time
seems to stop
as i look
at the clock
not at you

words
wouldn’t show
waited a little
too long
to push it through

i have become
so dependant on you
can’t stand the thought of
mundane

so used to me
not good form to
complain

up your leg
sitting close to me
in a really hot room

i didn’t know
at the time at least
what it all meant
or if it meant anything

i don’t actually
want to run away with you
i don’t really
want to find the wrong
side of the night

i just have this burning desire
to blow up anything
that’s stable in my life

caught like a dog
chasing his own tail
free to look away
around around I go
never getting where I need to be
but I keep chasing all the same

say it out loud to myself like
a lonely little kid
play acting his own life
happening real time
as it’s said
so it’s done
things just got keep getting harder harder for everyone
