En Passant by System Morgue

One could not step twice into the same river, nature of the time forbids. And the one is not the same with every step, and the soil for these steps is different and if you are going far enough in this there is no certainty at all, reality collapses, vision faints... The tremble of this, the awe, the dread and the bliss – it's hidden so deep, so we barely feel it. Even the shores are changing, so what could we know about rivers? Yet, something stays still. Something which is not us, because we are the many, we are riverbanks. Maybe the most elusive thing is the most real one? Something like music, perhaps?

Нельзя войти в одну и ту же реку дважды, природой времени это запрещено. И входящий каждый раз другой, с каждый своим шагом, и почва для этих шагов другая… и не остается уверенности ни в чем, если продолжить идти в этом направлении – реальность коллапсирует, видение ослабевает… Дрожь, восхищение, ужас и восторг этого – это есть всегда, лишь спрятано так глубоко, что становится едва ощутимым. Даже берега меняются, так что же мы можем сказать о реке? Но все же, что-то остается неизменным. Что-то, что не есть мы, потому как мы множество, мы берега для этой реки. Быть может, нечто самое неуловимое и является наиболее реальным? Что-то вроде музыки, может быть?
