An experimental album of minimalist generative music created through Markov chains. All recordings were created with a single piano instrument that can be found on Tero Parviainen's wonderfully informative website https://teropa.info inside a presentation on generative music titled 'How Generative Music Works' https://teropa.info/loop/#/title.
Each recording was created by layering multiple tracks based on the same initial melody upon each other. No other effects or filtering were used in the creation of these pieces.
The initial melodies are not included in the pieces because I want the generative music to stand on it's own. I did not do any editing of the compositions other than align the first generative note of each track and end each piece at a time I chose randomly without regard to what was happening musically in the piece. The whole idea was to see what I could create as simply as possible using an instrument on a web page.
The album art is a photograph of ice feathers on the roof of my car.
