Yellow Horizon by Peter Wright

Recorded in a tiny bedsit in north west London shortly after relocating to the UK from New Zealand. At this point I was rapidly running out of the money I'd saved over the last four years and had not yet found gainful employment. In another two months I would have had to consider returning to NZ or selling my body for science. Fortunately for the science world, I had a last minute reprieve and found full time employment. Soon I was able to pay rent and eat all at the same time - but it was touch and go for a while.

In the midst of this period of poverty, cramped living conditions and impending hopelessness, I did what any self-respecting starving artist would do and got the paint brushes out. After about a month I ended up with a couple of landscapes of open fields which I then hung in that otherwise barren room in the overcrowded city.
