World-renowned British producer, musician and DJ Will Holland aka Quantic launches his own record label Selva Records with the release of new 7" single ‘Nowhere’ with Denitia. The smouldering soul track features Will on guitars and keys, Joe Blaxx on drums and an intimate vocal from Denitia.
"We wrote ‘Nowhere’ hot on the heels of ‘You Used to Love Me’. The song has a minimal approach, leaving a lot of space for emotion. I think Denitia and I both had a new confidence about working together and were excited about the new sounds we were building. This song has a very particular energy that I love."
- Will Holland, Quantic
Called a "one man music factory" by Billboard, Will has released over 20 albums under various pseudonyms since 2001, with 2019 album ‘Atlantic Oscillations' a stunning return to the Quantic moniker. Working from Brooklyn for the past six years, and Colombia prior, Will has developed a sound that bridges heritage and progression, marrying spontaneous musicianship with deep, exciting tonality.
Selva is Quantic’s recording home, built and conceived by Will and his partner Aziza Ali. They conceptualized a recording space and studio with ample natural light, the wooden-furnished grandeur of yesteryear studios, and spacious enough to house Will’s vast collections of vintage recording equipment, instruments and records. Selva also operates as a production facility, where writing, recording, mixing and vinyl mastering takes place daily.
Releasing records on Selva, all made in this unique analogue recording
environment, was a natural evolution. The focus of the label will be to release several new Quantic produced projects as well as new exciting collaborations with other recording artists
Under the Quantic banner, Will Holland’s endeavours as a songwriter, musician, producer and
sound engineer run deep. From focused solo productions and intimate collaborations to
expansive ensemble projects, his reputation is forged on how he engages with local scenes and
cultures around the world.
