River Song by Rachel Shields
I viewed a Water Documentary that was created by the First Peoples Elders of Cape York in North Queensland. The message was that we have all made the Wild River systems sick. They were reaching out to the public to practice being conscious and careful with our waters, as the Rivers are for sustaining life, of which we are a part of.
After watching the documentary I felt mixed feelings of anger and sadness; knowing that in some way I too; had contributed to the sickness of the Rivers........
I did not wish to remain with this feeling, So I sat quietly and imagined myself by the River......
I asked the River " What can I do?"
and this song, this "River Song" is what the River offered me.............
