Resting Fields by Sailcloth

'Resting Fields' was written as an original soundtrack for the short film 'I.' Directed by Daniel Paashaus, 'I' explores themes related to the story of Tithonus through 5 scenes, each accompanied by one song.

While filming the movie, Daniel chose ‘to leave some almost painfully slow moments on screen, allowing people to contemplate, feel, and listen to the music.’ This allowed opportunities for the natural movement of the scenery to guide the music. The songs were written to enhance what was happening on the screen while standing on their own without the film, leading to an album that followed the emotional arc of the story.

Sailcloth is music from upright bassist Alex Luquet out of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
