“here, now” is an introspective slow dance between the colourful layers of the self. it moves gently, inviting reflexive shame into a luminous healing space.
I performed this song at the end of a play called “Heartbeast” at the Montreal Fringe Festival last summer. In this final scene, a trans teenager makes peace with their identity. this tender moment is now part of the experience of this song.
