Phil, Matt, and Luigi began playing together in 2023, shortly after Phil and Luigi relocated from London to the Southwest, where Matt lives. Their first concerts as a trio took place in Bristol.

SHIFT documents a performance with Michael Thieke. In June, Michael and Luigi were touring the UK with their duo; on a day off the trio had a booking at SHIFT in Cardiff—then housed in a vast basement of an abandoned mall—so Michael joined them for the session.

OTO captures a set recorded during Phil’s delayed 80th birthday celebration concert. For the occasion, Phil invited Matt and Luigi, along with his longtime collaborator and vocal virtuosa Audrey Chen, to play the opening quartet.
