Shadow Function+ by Ghostwerk
Originally released as a 4-track EP on the seminal Eerik Inpuj Sound netlabel, “Shadow Function Plus” is a collection of tracker modules stimulated by the bleakest aspects of life as a young adult in Las Vegas. The 16 tracks on the LP congeal to form an intellective horror video soundtrack, hybridizing a deep appreciation of bass music, lo-fi sample-based soundtracking, and expanding upon the concept of “hexadecimal funk” first laid out in the 2017 releases on Inpuj and Detroit Underground labels.
