You don't want me talking to other girls
In case they don't have innocent conversational intent
You know just in case she makes me kiss her
As if I wouldn't pull away as fast as I could

You used to trust me in what I do and say
I've told you there's no need for that to change
But you don't listen to reason
And you won't accept what i'm saying

Then it'll be all my fault for being impatient
And not listening to a word that you say
But tell me why should I stand by and not deny
False accusations and judgemental statements

In your apology, you dig me deeper again
Tell me, what does it mean when you reoffend?
And you don't listen to reason

It tears me to shreds to think that you distrust me
When I've given you no need to in the past five years
It scares me like death to think that you don't know me
If I was who you think, that would disgust me
I shiver with frustration
You wind me up and hang up the phone

So I phone you back again, apologise for that
I tell you what I meant before you overreacted
And you tell me where I went wrong and what I need to do
Over and over again as if you don't have a clue

You don't seem to understand when things just don't work out right
Even when I've done my best to make everything alright
And you don't listen to reason
And you won't accept what I'm saying

I apologise over and over again
You say it's alright and pause but you don't give up and
I hang up the phone and you say that i'm a dickhead
You've got a different rule for every situation
I shiver with frustration
You can't see what's wrong
You can't see what's wrong, except what's my fault
