Shrine of August is the solo project of Belgian drummer / songwriter Steve Vanderperren. After many years playing various genres, the time was right to bring together all ideas and influences from his musical beginning till today. To sum it all up, the term "Prog Noir" came up. Progressive elements will definitely remain, but the emphasis is on the music itself, not necessarily its technicality.
