We’ve been committed to this planet for Life.
Everybody’s crazy with conflict and strife.
Projecting our feelings on each other’s movie screen,
We get mad and anyone and say that they’re so mean.

Feeling abusive at each other every day.
Channeling anger in crazy creative ways.
And if we don’t listen, hell we don’t have to change,
We’re independent cowboys, singing home on the range.

You might follow the Lord or give the Devil his due,
But mostly all your life, you think of only you.
What you like you think is right and obviously true
And getting your own way inspires you to move.

Feeling abusive at each other every day.
Channeling anger in petty perverted ways,
And if we don’t listen, hell we don’t have to change,
We’re independent cowboys, singing home on the range.

He, she, them, or it make me angry, I hear you say.
Yeah, it’s not your fault, it’s them that ruin your day.
We’ll just have to talk about them when they turn away,
Roll our eyes indignantly at the stupid things they say.

Sarcasm, humor, those disruptive little dings
Feeling tired, feeling ill is the same damn thing.
Complaining and scapegoating, fault finding flings.
Just paths of stored up anger escaping.

But if we don’t find the reasons why we’re really mad.
We’ll repeat abusive patterns that make us all so sad.
