Meditation from Cadiz by Chris Orton and Sören Sieg

I wrote this piece in March 2022 under the Ukraine war's impact. It's unlike anything I've written before. I wanted to express my deep sadness at the incomprehensible horror of this war. A year has passed and the war is still going on. The piece is a kind of reflection and remembrance of all those who lost their lives and loved ones in this war.

Sören Sieg learned 7 instruments, published 200 columns, 13 books, 11 theater plays and countless musical works that were premiered on five continents. For 18 years he toured with his a cappella group LaLeLu. He lives as a freelance composer, editor, pianist author, and playwright in Hamburg and Warsaw. This year his first symphonic works premiered in Spain and Switzerland.
