i made this album over two years, lamenting and reflecting on a period of time that started as the best experience of my life, and ended as a nightmare. one night I couldn't sleep (i was recovering from surgery, in a lot of pain), and wrote down my idea for this project. it was going to be a documentation of those times, an exploration of my own musical boundaries, and a cry for help that took the form of me screaming "WHY?!" into the abyss. but over the time I took to work on it, it became about the year afterward that i spent processing my departure from the place where i felt stuck....
