If I’m sleeping late again this morning
It’s just because I need to think this through
I keep on remembering the warning
That I should look before I leap, and so I do

Now’s the perfect time to wait
Delay and then procrastinate
Call me hesitation blues

Yeah, I’m good to go and if I’m not mistaken
It’s time for me to get back on the bike
It might appear my confidence is shaken
But I can get back on it any time I like

So what if I take my time?
Being cautious, it’s no crime
It’s just the hesitation blues

Upsy daisy,
Feels like my soul’s been bared
Am I lazy?
Or am I just scared?

Perhaps I’ll get another chance tomorrow
To get down from this fence I perch upon
But do you have excuses I might borrow
Just in case I find my new resolve has gone?

There’s still time
There’s no rush
I’m going in, no need to push
I’m all set to sing my song
Hold on tight it will be long
It’s called the hesitation…

I’m open to persuasion
When evasion just won’t do
Opportunity right in front of me
I hope it’s going nowhere
