The Knowe O'Deil Band hail from Orkney. As well as Ivan Drever its members had been playing for many years in pub sessions in and around Orkney before forming the group. The band has seen many talented Orcadian members come and go. It has been said that the band was responsible for a revival of the tradition in Orkney.
