Invicta
This piece traces its roots back to 2021 with the release of 'Carthago delenda est' from the album Midpoint. The title references Cato the Elder, who famously urged the Roman Senate that 'Carthage must be destroyed'. Three years later, the story reaches its conclusion: 'victory'. The fall of a nation.
Musically, both tracks (Carthago delenda est and Invicta) share a common thread: melodic, bass and drum lines cycling in polymetric loops. One chord - both.
Forty
The sole survivor from an attempt to go electric. As per usual, you can’t go wrong with a solid pentatonic melody and a pulsating medley.
