Diagram is a collection of tracks that came together when revisiting music I made for my first album release ‘Paper’ with Fluid Audio back in 2012.
Revisiting this material after a series of releases where I’ve focused more on vocals as an instrument, it was clear to me some of the repetitive details I’d missed first time around warranted further experimentation.
I often see music as a form of travel through a set of real or imaginary spaces, a force that propels you forward without a true sense of where you might be going or why. These four tracks represent for me a night time road movie, passing through but never stopping as the world outside disappears in a haze of neon and shadow.
I would like to say a special thank you, as always to my cubs, family and wolf girl for her support and invaluable powers of listening and feedback, without her my music wouldn’t go further than my laptop. I would also like to thank Colin for putting out this release and for re-kindling my love for minidiscs!
