'1STEP' by VJ Gabi is an album featuring a variety of sounds spanning across the 9 tracks.
Beginning with the leadoff track, 'Cray Foo,' delivering a trippy, dreamy, melodic soundscape behind a wobbly, slowed-down sample of Sublime's 'Foolish Fool' to set tone for the listener - this is not what you were expecting.
Tracks 2 & 3 ('The Music Feels Right' and 'New Light') offer a more traditional 'classic hip-hop' vibe - wordy verses featuring lyrical performances from Triimurti and Leo Malaya, over jazzy grooves and driving psychedelic rock samples.
Track 4, 'Cool Down' brings us back into the trippy, melodic and melancholy world that the remainder of the project hangs on to, as tracks 5-9 round the 2nd half of the album out with a style and sound that can only be defined as VJ GABI
