"After a morning of floating in the Atlantic ocean, I came home to work on this track. As I built each layer of synth, I noticed the sounds flowing in and out of focus. It reminded me of earlier that day when I was letting the waves move me back and forth while looking up at the sky. Every time I am in the sea, I’m left in complete awe of this beautiful world. I also noticed that long-term relationships can move like waves: sometimes you feel deep connection and closeness, other times you float apart, only to come back together again later. So the song is an ode to the beauty of the ocean, the perpetual flow of waves, and the great love I have for my partner."
This song is a meditative, synth-driven composition embossed with thousands of gentle sounds inspired by a morning spent floating in the Atlantic Ocean. The UK-born producer and singer drew creative energy from the natural ebb and flow of the sea, translating that experience into layers of sound that rise, fall, and drift in and out of focus – mirroring the motion of waves.
