We’re near 8 billion people now,
And we’re all thinking some how,
That we’ve still got things to say,

Will it matter either way?
Something poignant, something great,
It’s still a load of nonsense,

For 6 million we’ve been here,
And with every passing year,
You’d think that things would settle,

Another war, Another crime,
It is all that’s on their minds,
This construct can’t be healthy,

I’m just saying,
I think we’re getting delusional,
Hoping or praying,
Either way it’s still delusional,

Some obnoxious right wing gaffe,
That get posted by your dad,
About freedom on Facebook,

Hypo-critic liberal kids,
Wearing well placed safety pins,
Wouldn’t stand for an ovation,

Let’s all try and take our seats,
Have a moment just to breathe,
Can we sit back and listen,

There’s someone with things to say,
Something real akin to pain,
Maybe they should get their moment,
