zinEP 1 by Wormholes Between
In January 2021, I bought a MIDI keyboard using my Octopus card (a transport card similar to the Oyster card in London and the ICOCA card in Osaka). I can't use all the keyboard functions as my computer is from 2013 (second-hand).
I learnt the software and made a track each month, which I shared freely on SoundCloud (https://soundcloud.com/wormholesbetween). Some tracks were played on Dissident Island Radio (http://dissidentisland.org/episode-261) and a Taiwanese radio show which gave me some confidence in my new... practice.
This EP was assembled for the 2022 Hong Kong International Photo Festival's zine fair in November, in the format of a 12-page printed zine (zinEP). Ten were made and I think they've all found new homes. The last copy was gifted to Uptown Records in Tokyo, who invited me to perform one day!
