Wild Garden by Shunyata Improvisation Group
Wild Garden showcases Shunyata Improvisation Groups in trio form, creating an extraordinary style of music; intimate, distinct and entirely composed in the moment. The album invites an immersive meditative experience, inspired by Zen approaches to art, emphasising spaciousness and exploring both timbral and pitch-based improvisation. All pieces are improvisations , they are not collaged or edited between the beginning and end of each piece.
The album has high production values achieving a high level of clarity and detail.
In hearing back the improvisations, the title Wild Garden was chosen, inspired by the idea that cultivation’s purpose can be to permit the natural beauty of nature to flourish.
The high-quality cover art work within this framework shows superbly the interaction between the individual and nature and the changing perspective within single moments.
