Park Road from Favourites by Dream Poppies
Jo, Marg and Trace all lived in the Gabba (Woolloongabba) in the 90s and Jo quite close to the Park Rd station where you could wave to inmates in Brisbane’s infamous Boggo Rd Jail. Park Rd is an ode to our time there with a love story thrown in for good measure.

Creating their own brand of indie pop, the Dream Poppies have been described as saccharine piss-take power pop, edgy loud-quiet girly guitar pop and catchy melodic fuzz pop.
The band formed in Brisbane in October 1990 and released 6 EPs and an album and featured on many Australian compilation CDs. The band played major music festivals including SXSW 1997 and a show at CBGBs in NYC.
